Salem Vegan Food Drive 2008

This June marks the Salem Vegan Food Drive's third year. While 2006 showed only marginal interest in the community, 2007 marked a dramatic increase in both Sponsorship and in donations from individuals in the community. We provided the Salem Mission with over $500 to purchase 100-percent vegan food for their homeless residents and needy families in the region. This year, vegan businesses have embraced the Food Drive, recognizing its unparalleled, inherent value for the vegan community, and for animal rights. This year's recession has undoubtedly struck hard in the region, but as always, we remain optimists, with our vision toward the future.
